IASO’s Coordinated M&E Platform Across Six Countries for LifeNet International

August 19, 2024

IASO has partnered with LifeNet International to develop a unified M&E platform that spans six countries—Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Malawi, and Ghana. This platform integrates geo-structured data collection, decentralized user management, and seamless DHIS2 integration, empowering LifeNet to improve healthcare coordination across its extensive network.

LifeNet International transforms healthcare by empowering faith-based facilities—often the only healthcare lifeline for many communities.

Geo-Structured Data Collection and Decentralized User Management

A key advantage of IASO’s platform is its ability to handle geo-structured data collection across six countries through a single instance. Local teams in each country manage their own data, limited to their specific geographies, while benefiting from standardized forms that ensure consistent data collection across all regions. This allows for regional autonomy while maintaining unified data protocols, making it easier for LifeNet to monitor and evaluate its healthcare interventions across diverse settings.

Seamless DHIS2 Integration

IASO’s bidirectional integration with DHIS2 is another major benefit for LifeNet. Not only can the platform pull data from national health systems, but it also sends data back to each country’s DHIS2 instance. This enhances collaboration with national health authorities, allowing LifeNet’s data to contribute directly to national health strategies while maintaining control over local operations.

Managing Large-Scale Data Collection

IASO’s ability to handle decentralized data collection at scale has been critical for LifeNet. By giving local teams responsibility for their own data while maintaining a coordinated, centralized system, IASO enables LifeNet to efficiently manage data collection across all six countries. This structure supports consistent, reliable data that can be used to drive improvements in healthcare delivery.

Conclusion

Through IASO’s platform, LifeNet International has been able to transform its M&E efforts across six countries, balancing regional control with standardized processes. The combination of geo-structured data collection, decentralized user management, and seamless DHIS2 integration has allowed LifeNet to improve its healthcare services while contributing to national health systems. This partnership exemplifies how technology can drive more coordinated, effective healthcare delivery at a multi-country scale.
